Job summary

Pharmavite is seeking an Associate Technician to learn and perform duties related to manufacturing and warehouse operations. The role focuses on safe operation, adherence to cGMP, SOPs, and continuous skill development under supervision.

You will monitor equipment, support quality checks, and participate in housekeeping and safety programs. The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of related experience, a HS diploma or equivalent, and PIT certification or the ability to obtain it.

Position Summary

The Associate Technician is responsible for learning and understanding the assigned functions related to their role. This process is accomplished through hands-on learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety standards, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and customer requirements in conjunction with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This role involves learning and developing oneself to take on additional duties, expand their capabilities, and enhance personal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Learns and performs work associated with the safe operation and maintenance of various manufacturing/warehouse equipment, depending on the specialization of process of operations and materials used.
  • Monitors equipment parameters (meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls) and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/warehouse/process and quality specifications.
  • Resolves common or frequent equipment issues, troubleshooting, and equipment adjustments with guidance.
  • Understands production information used daily to manage operations (MDI Boards, electronic platforms, etc.).
  • Adheres to cGMP standards in completing relevant paperwork, following good documentation practices, and performing quality control checks.
  • Escalate issues related to safety, quality compliance, and equipment status.
  • Communicate needs or other support as needed.
  • Participate in all required housekeeping (5S), cleaning, and sanitation.
  • Operate material handling equipment, electric hand trucks, walk-along pallet lifts, hoist, and other equipment as needed.
  • Participate in the daily Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) verification list at the beginning of each shift.
  • Communicates any issues to the Supervisor that prevent the unit from being used.
  • Conducts equipment checklist verification of trailers before and after unloading.
  • Participates in equipment changeovers and setups to include parts cleaning and inspection, checklist review, partnering in setup and start-up of each piece of equipment, and support in functional area.
Education

HS Diploma or a combination of equivalent education and experience or knowledge required.

Certifications

Must have or be able to complete PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) certification training.

Experience

0- 2 years' work experience required at this level and successful completion of the Pharmavite Technician Program. Ability to work in a diverse team environment with others. Working knowledge of manufacturing/warehouse processes or a combination of skills, knowledge, and demonstrated ability to learn is recommended.

Physical Requirements
  • Stands and/or walks for the full work shift, may have restricted flexibility to move from their stations unless relieved by others.
  • May perform repetitive job duties during training and rotations depending on assignment.
  • Intermittently lifts and/or moves loads unassisted of up to 40 pounds and over 40 pounds with the use of pallet jacks (manual or powered), two-person lift, or other mechanical aids.
  • Pulls/pushes boxes of product on/offline and/or pallets using pallet jack, hoists, etc.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate equipment controls, production containers on a production line, and hand tools to assemble/disassemble parts of equipment and address quality variations.
  • Required to walk up and down stairs and rolling platform with handrails.
Environment

Constant exposure to noise levels loud enough to require employees to wear hearing protection. Warm temperature levels, fumes, vibration, dust, etc., sufficient to cause minor discomfort. Operating conditions may vary by department and areas. Employee is required to wear all PPE, i.e., protective eyewear, hearing protection, hair net, safety shoes, uniforms, etc., for assigned department.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $37,000.00 - $60,000.00. Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k) match, and other wellness benefits. Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime. Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
