Job summary

The Goodkind Co. is seeking a packaging assistant to help maintain efficient production and quality standards in our Austin area facility. You will support packaging operations, load materials, and ensure on-time delivery of products while adhering to GMP guidelines.

Successful candidates are organized, able to multi-task, and comfortable standing for long periods. A High School Diploma is required and weekend availability may be needed to cover shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Background in production assembly, candle pouring or craftwork is beneficial but not required.
• Must be organized, self-motivated, and deadline-driven.
• Ability to multi-task and move quickly to keep the production line moving.
• Good hand eye coordination and manual dexterity are mandatory.
• Availability during stated shift time and occasional weekends.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Fill, label, batch, clean, and package products using both automated equipment and manual processes.
• Follow established standard operating procedures to ensure products meet all quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by performing routine cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout all production activities.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors throughout the shift and demonstrate flexibility to adjust priorities on short notice.
• Support and encourage coworkers by contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment, including assisting peers and supervisors as needed.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the packaging assistant is responsible for maintaining consistent production and quality standards, keeping machines running smoothly to ensure on-time delivery of product.

What You'll Do

• Fill, label, batch, clean, and package products using both automated equipment and manual processes. Responsibilities include loading and unloading production components, supplying machines with materials, handling components at various points along the production line, and performing additional tasks as required.
• Follow established standard operating procedures to ensure products meet all quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by performing routine cleaning, breaking down boxes, and completing other housekeeping and organizational tasks.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) throughout all production activities.
