Job summary

Ecolab’s Swannanoa, North Carolina plant is hiring a Packaging Assistant to support the primary packaging line. The role operates Monday through Thursday from 6:00am to 4:00pm and offers $16.50 per hour, with benefits starting on day one.

You will help with labeling, changeovers, and routine maintenance while ensuring safe production and clean 5S practices. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ years of production experience, with no immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality standards, policies, and procedures are followed in a manufacturing environment.
• Assist the primary packaging line operator with daily tasks, including labeling parts, performing changeovers, moving and lifting empty containers, completing rework, and meeting the production plan.
• Complete routine changeovers and basic autonomous maintenance (AM) tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and uphold 5S standards in the workspace.

What You Will Do

• Complete routine changeovers and basic autonomous maintenance (AM) tasks.

Position Details

• Plant location: Swannanoa, North Carolina

• Shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00am-4:00pm

• Compensation: $16.50/hour

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED

• 1+ years of experience in production

• No immigration sponsorship available for this role

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs

• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in plant or warehouse

• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimals

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

The pay rate is $16.50 per hour. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
