The Packaging Assistant is responsible for assisting in the successful completion of the packaging portion of the production schedule and identifying quality deficiencies and taking action to correct them. This position shares responsibility for maintaining Pasta Montana’s food safety, quality and legality program under the BRC guidelines.
Pasta Montana team members are expected to maintain a positive work atmosphere through communication and behaving in a manner that is courteous and respectful to all customers, vendors, contractors, co-workers, leads and management. Pasta Montana team members are also expected to have on-time, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and must always be aware of and pay attention to their surroundings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: Some prior plant or commercial experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of packaging principles, processes and good manufacturing practices is helpful. Understanding of personnel and safety standards. Able to identify quality deficiencies and assist in correcting them. Able to function as a motivated team member in a highly dynamic environment. Able to work and communicate effectively in a team setting. Able to learn, troubleshoot and multi-task. Able to learn, troubleshoot and multi-task. Ability to use computer automated systems and software. Must be trainable, teachable, reliable, honest, trustworthy, and motivated.
