The Packaging and Labeling Manager will collaborate extensively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Regulatory Labeling, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T), external graphics providers, and packaging sites worldwide. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong project management skills, extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical artwork processes, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment. This individual will drive artwork change control activities, support product launches, and ensure compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate with Regulatory Labeling, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T), Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders to ensure artwork meets business and regulatory requirements. Create and maintain Artwork Bills of Material (BOMs) to support commercial product disposition activities. Oversee daily interactions with external graphics agencies, printers, and packaging vendors to ensure timely and high-quality artwork development. Drive artwork implementation activities at manufacturing and packaging sites to support commercial supply continuity. Ensure proper version control and adherence to change management processes throughout the artwork lifecycle. Support new product launches and post-launch artwork updates across global markets. Review, develop, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials related to artwork processes. Deliver training and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on artwork processes and artwork management systems. Provide administrative support and system maintenance activities for Artwork Management Systems. Manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing timelines, priorities, and stakeholder expectations. Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and escalate concerns that may impact project deliverables or implementation timelines. Foster strong cross-functional partnerships to support successful execution of packaging and labeling initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills

Strong understanding of pharmaceutical packaging, labeling, and artwork development processes. Working knowledge of GMP, quality systems, change control, and regulatory requirements applicable to pharmaceutical products. Experience managing artwork through Artwork Management Systems and electronic approval workflows. Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors in a global environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards. Product launch experience and understanding of commercialization activities preferred.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Packaging, Regulatory Affairs, Business, or a related discipline required. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or related regulated industry. Experience supporting pharmaceutical artwork development, labeling operations, regulatory labeling, copy editing, technical writing, packaging operations, or related functions. Experience working with artwork management systems and document control platforms preferred. Experience managing artwork implementation for commercial products and/or product launches strongly preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered. Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment is highly desirable.
