Job summary

Boar's Head Brand is seeking a dedicated line worker in Petersburg, VA to support production in a fast-paced facility. You will follow GMPs and SOPs, perform assigned tasks, and maintain safety while ensuring product quality against specifications.

Eligible candidates should be able to lift 16 pounds repeatedly, stay punctual, and work with the team to adjust line speed and operations as needed. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to plant rules and policies.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to be flexible as to various job assignments and working conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 16 pounds repetitively.
• Follows Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Responsible for ensuring product specifications are attained.
• Performs job assignment in a cost conscious manner.

• Responsible for being at workstation on time each workday.
• Works as a team player and communicates with other department members.

• Must be able to pick up 16 pounds repetitively.
• Responsible for installing, removing, cleaning and re-taping of seal bars.
• Straightens and aligns each bag on the seal bar.
• Must keep pace with the line.
• Adjusts line speed for various products.
• May be involved in lubrication of 8600.
• Starts and stops the 8600 machine.
• May be involved in set-up and tear-down/put-away.
• Responsible for bringing problems with equipment to Supervisor or Lead Person.
• Responsible for the 8600 machine.
• Responsible to monitor correct and legible sell-by dated product.
