Job summary

Embecta is seeking a packaging associate for the B shift (6:20pm-6:30am) to support upstacking, filling, and sealing of blister, form/fill/seal, hospital pack and allergist tray products. The role requires basic English literacy and ability to read counts and lot numbers.

The candidate will operate shelf carton erectors, clear jams, check product quality, and ensure accurate labeling and palletization. Safety rules and cleanliness are emphasized throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic computer keyboard & navigational skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Fill and operate shelf carton erector and clear minor jams.
• Discard obviously defective packages and ensure correct lot control numbers.
• Check packaging for correct count and inspect for damage to syringes.
• Palletize finished product and attach the proper pallet cards.
• Operate semi-auto tape machine during packaging shifts.
• Maintain a clean work area and attend shifts regularly.

Associate will have a general knowledge of al packaging equipment which will enable safe operation of equipment through breaks, clearing jams, stopping and restarting machine as needed.B Shift (6:20pm-6:30am)Essential Responsibilities (included but are not limited to):Follow all company safety rules, regulations and job safety analysis.Must know lockout procedures as described in the corporate safety standard 13, plant lockout procedure and key interrupt.Fill and operate shelf carton erector and clear minor jams.Responsible for quality of product including but not limited to:discarding obviously defective packages, removing and saving contentschecking packaging for correct countchecking for damage to syringeschecking for correct lot control numbersinserting brochures as requiredpalletizing finished product and attaching proper pallet cardoperating semi-auto tape machineperforming minor duties not requiring mechanic attentionGood hand-eye coordination and repetitive hand, wrist and arm movements.Keep work area clean.
