Job summary

Meridian Adhesives Group is seeking a packager to inspect finished products for defects and pack them for shipment in a fast-paced production environment. The role requires lifting, material handling, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

1st shift operates 5:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with starting pay of $17.00 per hour and potential bonus participation. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, relevant experience, and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect finished products for defects and pack for shipment.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment.
  • Operate and maintain required packaging equipment and follow housekeeping standards.
  • Squeeze cartridges to ensure quality and proper packaging.
  • Support Batch Makers with material handling and inventory tasks.

Job description

Meridian Adhesives Group is a rapidly growing, full service global adhesive solutions provider, specializing in adhesive technologies used in electronics, industrial, and infrastructure applications. Fueled by a series of strategic acquisitions since its formation in 2018, Meridian has established itself as an adhesive technology leader for a broad, global, blue-chip customer base comprised of OEMs, distributors, and industrial clients with an expanding global footprint.

Roles and Responsibilities

This role is responsible for handling and inspecting finished products for defects and packing them into cases of various sizes for shipment or storage. Packagers will assist Batch Makers in pulling product from machines and properly placing them to the correct boxes for shipping.

Primary job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain assigned equipment by performing required pre-operational, in process and post batch inspections. Immediately report any possibilities of contamination, needed mechanical repair or safety issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Squeeze cartridges to assure they are good to ship
  • Check product for quality and discard damaged product
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, facility and equipment by following routine housekeeping standards.
  • Cap or plug hose and plumbing fittings when not in use.
  • Properly store all properly capped, covered or closed operating supplies such as raw materials, drums, totes, etc. in their designated locations before the end of the shift.
  • Remove empty raw material containers, packages, bags, and sacks before the end of the shift.
  • Equipment must be kept clean of raw material residue, chemicals and adhesive.
  • Sweep and mop work areas as needed and at the end of each shift. Rinse mop heads and mop buckets and return to the proper storage area after each use.
  • Return cleaning equipment to assigned area after each use.
Other Duties
  • Participate in physical inventories and cycle counting.
  • Contribute to team effort, i.e. assisting in any area required, etc.
  • Train designated employees on procedures as needed.
  • Participate in safety, loss control, accident, incident and rework investigations, as assigned.
Education/Experience
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience in a related field
  • Valid state driver’s license, with a good driving record

  • Mechanical aptitude with practical application skills

  • Speak and write English clearly and distinctly.
  • Perform with minimal supervision.
  • Perform basic mathematical skills.Take direction and apply to the assigned task.
Physical Conditions
  • Work performed is very physical in nature.
  • Routine bending, stooping, stair climbing and reaching required.
  • Lifting and carrying materials and supplies, typically weighting 50 pounds or more
  • Manual dexterity is required to operate tools, machinery, forklifts and controls.
  • Standing for long periods of time

Schedule: 1st Shift 5:00 am-3:30 pm M-Th

Pay: This position has a starting salary range of $17.00 per hour. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location

Bonus Pay: Meridian is actively participating in a productivity incentive plan for 2026. Eligible employees have the opportunity to earn up to $1,520 a year, with payments distributed quarterly throughout the year.
