Position Title: Finished Goods Packager

Department: Shipping & Receiving

Location: Chaska, MN

Jonaco Machine is a full-service precision machining supplier with over 50 years of industry experience producing a portfolio of complex, close tolerance parts for customers in the aerospace/defense, medical, semi-conductor and high technology industries.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finished Goods Packager to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is responsible for packaging completed aerospace components and assemblies in accordance with customer specifications, company procedures, and industry quality standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in accuracy, follows standardized work instructions, and is committed to protecting high-value products during storage and shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Package finished aerospace parts, assemblies, and components according to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Inspect finished products for cleanliness, labeling accuracy, and packaging compliance before shipment.
• Select appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transportation.
• Apply labels, barcodes, certifications, and shipping documentation accurately.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, lot numbers, and serial numbers against work orders and packing lists.
• Maintain traceability of aerospace products throughout the packaging process.
• Operate packaging equipment such as heat sealers, shrink wrap machines, scales, and label printers.
• Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), FOD (Foreign Object Debris), and clean handling procedures when required.
• Assist with inventory transactions and finished goods movement within the ERP system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and comply with all company safety and quality policies.

Qualifications

• Previous packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, or shipping experience preferred.
• Aerospace, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read work instructions, packing specifications, and shipping documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory transactions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of FOD prevention, ESD handling, and aerospace quality requirements.
• Experience using barcode scanners and shipping software.
