Trident Seafoods Corporation seeks a Packaging Associate to ensure product quality and compliance in their Minnesota facility. Summary: The Packaging associate packages products by performing the following duties:
Key Responsibilities:
Tends machine(s) to feed product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices
Removes product from platforms/conveyors and packs into preformed pouches
Counts items packed to ensure compliance with company standards
Monitors product feed into pasteurizers
Places product on grill marker belt
Ensures product packages are placed on conveyor according to company standards
Inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications
Removes irregular product and any foreign material found in product. Reports irregularities to the Quality Assurance Technician, Lead Person or Supervisor
Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety and cleans equipment according to company standards.
Disassembles and reassembles the production line and equipment as necessary for cleaning.
Cleans and Sanitizes production equipment, tools, and work area per Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP)
Additional Responsibilities:
Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
Performs other responsibilities and tasks as assigned
This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $20.35to $24.15.

Three to six months food manufacturing experience

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.
