Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Packaging Line Worker for its Story City, IA operations. The role involves operating and supporting packaging line machinery, performing assembly, labeling and quality checks to ensure packaged products meet standards.

You will work in a clean production environment with daytime shifts, overtime possible based on volume, and a focus on safety, teamwork, and consistent quality. This entry-level position offers hands-on machine operation experience.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of prior warehouse experience or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of machine operation and/or packaging experience.
• Experience with machine operation in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with packaging and assembly tasks in a production setting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to support minor equipment operation and set-up.
• Material handling experience in a warehouse or production environment.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills to follow instructions, labels, and production documentation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small team on a production line.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
• Prior experience working on a packaging or production line.
• Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Ability to adapt to changing production needs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work overtime based on production volume requirements.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean production and warehouse environment, working in small teams of 23 or 34 people on the packaging line. The standard schedule is a first shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the possibility of overtime depending on production volume. Contractors are expected to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow all safety and operational guidelines. The dress code includes jeans or other sturdy work pants; leggings and sweatpants are not permitted. Required personal protective equipment includes safety glasses, nitrile gloves, and cut-resistant gloves, which must be worn as directed. Contractors are required to provide their own steel toe boots.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
