Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is hiring a Part-time Package Handler to load and unload freight, scan and sort freight within the facility, and to transport freight within and between facilities.

The role includes training other Package Handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing and scanning techniques; requires lifting up to 70 lbs and maneuvering packages up to 150 lbs with equipment, plus a valid G license and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Minimum 6 months of Package Handler experience (preferred).
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
  • Must possess a valid G license and have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload freight, scan, and sort freight within the facility.
  • Transport freight within and between facilities.

Job description

To load and unload freight, scan, and sort freight within the facility. To transport freight within and between facilities.

Trains other Package Handlers (PHs) on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques in order to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages through the operation.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Preferred)
  • Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
  • FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations - (Preferred)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
  • Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record
