Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is hiring for a part-time seasonal Package Handler to load, unload, scan, and sort freight within the facility and to transport freight between facilities. You will train other PHs on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques to ensure safe movement of packages.

Candidates must be able to lift 70 lbs, handle up to 150 lbs with equipment, and hold a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• 6 months of Package Handler experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Bilingual in French and English if residing in Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, scan, and sort freight within the facility.
• Transport freight within and between facilities.
• Train other Package Handlers on loading/unloading and scanning techniques.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations - (Preferred)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record
