Job summary

FedEx in Canada is seeking a Seasonal Package Handler Trainer to load and unload freight, scan and sort freight, and move items between facilities. You will train other PHs on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning to ensure safe and efficient movement of packages. Shift: Tuesday to Saturday 6:30am to 12pm.

Must lift up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment. If based in Quebec, bilingual (French and English) required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Six months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• Must possess a valid G license with a good driving record.
• FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, scan and sort freight within the facility.
• Transport freight within and between facilities.
• Train other Package Handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing and scanning techniques.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Preferred)
• Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
• FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations - (Preferred)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications:
