Job Description: Airside Experience Associate

Shifts Available to choose from: 4:00 am - 7:00 am, 5:00 am - 8:00 am

The Airside Experience Associate helps to ensure safe and efficient airport operations by supporting various operational needs. This position is responsible for handling and processing baggage, freight, and cargo, as well as overseeing secured airport access points. The role requires flexibility to work night, holiday, and weekend shifts, often in varying weather conditions such as precipitation, extreme temperatures, jet engine fumes, dust, and noise. Tasks are performed both indoors and outdoors near stationary and moving aircraft, including spinning propellers and engines.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 18 years old
• Ability to pass background checks, drug tests, and meet airport security requirements
• Legally authorized to work in the employment jurisdiction
• Valid state driver’s license
• Good judgment and ability to follow supervisor’s directives

Additional Knowledge and Skills:

• Hospitality Skills: Excellent guest service skills, energetic and outgoing personality, ability to anticipate guest needs, multitask in a fast-paced environment, maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Pay ranges from $19.50 to $22.80 per hour, depending on factors such as skills, experience, responsibilities, and location.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload baggage, freight, and cargo; transfer packages between planes and other transportation modes.
• Operate ground service equipment like tugs, trucks, and conveyors.
• Conduct identification checks for personnel entering secure areas.
• Monitor facilities including parking lots, terminal, hangars, and AOA.
• Assist guests by connecting ground power, providing potable water, wing walking, chocking, and positioning stairs/jetways.
• Stop work if unsafe conditions arise and report concerns.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and security on ramps and operations.
• Keep accurate records of activities and services performed.
