Job summary

Golden Valley Health Centers seeks a Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition care and education to Central Valley PACE participants in Merced. You will evaluate nutrition status, develop care plans, and coordinate with physicians and the care team.

The role includes a hybrid schedule (Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm, with 1 remote day per week) and compensation $48–$52 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of adult and geriatrics health, nutrition, motivational interviewing and adult learning experience.
• Experience with providing nutrition education to participants/caregivers and staff.
• Ability to collaborate with other team members and participate in IDT meetings.

Responsibilities

• Performs nutritional assessments and reassessments as indicated by nutrition standards.
• Provides nutrition education to participants/caregivers as ordered by physician and according to ADA standards.
• Provides nutrition education to staff and the community.
• Coordinates 24-hour care delivery and documents changes in medical records.
• Observes patients and reports changes to the licensed nurse.
• Participates in staff meetings and care planning within the IDT.
• Meets CMS-approved competency standards before independent work.
• Ensures staff orientation and training for nutritional needs.
• Maintains department policies, QA, safety and infection control.

Bachelor's in Nutrition

Current RD registration

BLS CPR Certification

1 year health-related experience
