Job summary

Miami Jewish Health is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to support Nursing and Therapeutic Recreation staff at Florida PACE Centers. The role involves providing basic nursing assistance, documenting care, and participating in a cross-trained, multi-disciplinary team.

Applicants should be Certified Nursing Assistants with Florida certification and a history of working with the frail/elderly. Excellent communication and a compassionate, calm approach are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Experience with frail/elderly population preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; Spanish helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing assistance (toileting, feeding, transportation, bathing) as per department policies
• Document treatments, observations, and care activities on forms as needed
• Record monthly weights and report to PACE dietitian
• Respect residents' rights and maintain confidentiality
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and trainings
• Complete monthly trainings in a timely manner
• Assist with monthly outings and rotate duties to gain cross-training within the PACE program
• Maintain a caring attitude toward participants, families, and staff
