Job summary

Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago is seeking a Public Area Cleaner/Lobby Attendant to take ownership of the appearance and condition of the hotel’s common areas and service spaces, in line with Trump standards. You will communicate with residents, owners, and guests to ensure a welcoming environment.

In this hourly role, you will perform routine rounds, maintain cleanliness, assist with move-ins/outs, and report repairs or supplies needs to the supervisor.

Job description

The primary purpose of the public area/lobby attendant associate is to take ownership for the appearance and condition of the common areas and service areas in the residential tower, while keeping with all corporate and brand standards. Assists team in maintaining property in a manner that increases property values as well as owner and associate satisfaction. Communicates with residential owners, occupants, guests as required.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Works with the Residential Team

• General cleaning of the common areas including, but not limited to; the entrance way, lobby, elevator area, mailroom, hallways and service areas.
• Completes duties as directed and with appropriate supplies and equipment.
• Maintains a safe working area.
• Completes routine rounds in designated area several times per shift
• All cleaning equipment is routinely cleaned and kept in good condition.
• Complies with appropriate usage of cleaning equipment a nd supplies as directed.
• Communicates the need for supplies or repairs to equipment to the PA Supervisor/Assistant Tower Manager
• Assists where needed and as directed by PA Supervisor.
• Directs owners, residents or visitors within the hotel or tower.
• Directs all owner, resident and visitor requests to an appropriate party.
• Notifies PA Supervisor/Assistant Tower Manager of any issues in the common areas and service areas
• Assists in the move-in, move-out and delivery process for units.
• Ensures compliance of Trump Corporation policies and procedures as well as Brand Standards.
• Maintains a working knowledge of events and happenings within the tower and hotel.
• Speaks with and responds to owners, occupants and guests.
• Directs all owner, resident and visitor requests to an appropriate party.
• Performs other assignments as requested.

Administrative Duties

• Be familiar with Safety and Emergency policies and procedures
• Enforces Association rules and regulations in a professional and courteous manner
• Performs other assignments as requested.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the company.

Works with the Residential Team

• Assists in opening doors for and escorting owners, residents, and their visitors.
• Appropriately directs all deliveries to the loading dock and receiving room. Contractors,

cleaning personnel and deliveries contractor or grocery should be through the loading dock

area.

• It is imperative to notify the Assistant Tower Manager an y resident or guest that violates the building's
• Participate in and interact with Hotel Operations, assist as necessary when requested.
• Participates in corporate activities and meetings, as necessary when requested.
• Performs other assignments as requested.

OTHER DUTIES:

Assimilate into Trump Service Culture Standards through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of Trumps Service Basics. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

OSHA laws require the use of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety:

Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. The hotel provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.

Please note that is that rubber soled shoes with a steel toe are recommended.

• The Public Area Cleaner/Lobby Attendant position is an hourly position and should not expect tipping for completing a job as outlined herewith.

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES:

• Associates are prohibited from performing personal "side jobs" for any owner and resident.
• Reference, offer or provide information about an owner, resident, guest, or building business.
• Entertain family or friends in the property.
• Eating and drinking outside of the associated dining room and/or while on duty.

QUALIFYING STANDARDS

Experience

• Requires successful track record in the cleaning field or related position in a hotel, residential or commercial property.

Grooming

All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific To Trump Corporate Standards.)
