Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Physician Assistant for duty in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes clinical care, teaching PA students, and participation in administrative duties as directed by the Service Chief.

Eligible for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) with program review after appointment. Responsibilities include basic life support, trauma stabilisation, and management of acute respiratory failure, along with ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Duties include clinical responsibilities as a Physician Assistant in both IP and OP settings.
• Provide healthcare classes to patients and staff as requested.
• Precept Physician Assistant students and participate inQuality Assurance and committee work as directed.

Responsibilities

• Basic Life Support in accordance with CPR standards.
• Monitor and stabilize life-threatening traumatic injuries until EMS arrives.
• Initial treatment of acute respiratory failure.
• Administrative duties such as Quality Assurance and Peer Review; service on committees.
• Participate in patient care and telework is not available; schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
