Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Comprehensive Breast Care team at Lemmen Holton Cancer Pavilion in downtown Grand Rapids. This full-time outpatient role includes four 10-hour shifts, with no weekends or on-call duties, and involves consultation, surveillance, and coordination of care for breast patients.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in NP/PA program with accredited NP licensure.
• 3+ years of relevant clinical experience required.
• Experience in collaborative healthcare role required.
• Active MI RN and NP licenses upon hire.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications required or active upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Four 10-hour shifts weekly with no weekends or on-call duties.
• Consultation and surveillance of breast disease patients, including cancer risk and benign conditions.
• Follow patients independently and support surgeon staff with postoperative visits.
• In-office procedures may include aspirations, punch/excisional biopsies, and I&Ds.
• Assist in patient education initiatives and participate in research studies.

Role

Corewell Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Cancer Care team in Comprehensive Breast Care at Lemmen Holton Cancer Pavilion, in downtown Grand Rapids. This dynamic outpatient only role will encompass the following:

• Four 10-hour shifts weekly
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities
• Consultation and surveillance of patients with a variety of breast diseases including patients with cancer, those at high-risk for developing breast cancer, and those with benign disease.
• Follow patients independently in addition to supporting surgeon staff with post-operative and surveillance visits.
• In-office procedures are within the scope of the role and may include aspirations, punch biopsies, excisional biopsies, and I & D's
• Opportunities for growth exist by implementing new patient education programs, working with staff and providers to enhance the patient experience, and participation in research studies!

This full-time role does not include OR responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have previous APP experience in oncology. New grads with exceptional oncology and surgical rotation experienced may be considered.

Qualifications

• Required master's degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
• 3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience Required
• Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role Required
• Experience as a Nurse Practitioner Preferred
