Job description

Join our growing Heart and Vascular Team at Corewell Health West! We're recruiting an experienced APP who is seeking an exciting career opportunity to grow clinically and build a new collaborative program with our Aortic Center of Excellence.

An APP recruited to this role will work in a dynamic team-based care environment with Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, and Cardiothoracic Surgery to serve patients with all types of aortic pathology primarily in the ambulatory environment. An APP in this position will grow to become a subject matter expert on aortic disease and participate in research while maintaining a shared vision for the program with our operational and physician leaders.

We expect this position to work primarily Tuesday through Friday in a 4 day - 10-hour model without obligations to evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Nurse Practitioner:
  • Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master's, post-master's or doctorate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
  • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • CRT-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Physician Assistant:
  • Required Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program.
  • LIC-Physician Assistant - State of Michigan.
  • 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • CRT-Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • CRT-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
