Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider IV (APP IV) is a licensed direct patient care provider in Florida and/or Georgia, delivering medical services within their scope of practice under physician supervision.

Clinical Area

Provides care primarily in inpatient, critical care, Labor & Delivery, and/or emergency department settings; > 50% inpatient hospital-based setting.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  • Performs or assists with complex procedures in office, inpatient, operating room, or emergency settings. May perform first assist functions in the OR. Call coverage may be required.
  • Participates in meetings, teams, and committees with interdisciplinary healthcare providers.
  • Provides care for patients with neuroendovascular pathologies, including acute strokes and SAH, in critical care and outpatient settings.
  • Opportunities to scrub in/first assist in neuroendovascular procedures.
  • Monitors/manages medical/invasive devices and manages care pre- and post- procedures.
  • Conducts high-level evaluations, including patient histories, physical exams, diagnostics, differential diagnoses, and treatment planning.
  • Develops comprehensive health management plans collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contributes to program development, research, quality improvement, and professional development initiatives.
  • Enters clinical information accurately in the EMR, adhering to billing and documentation standards.
  • Educates and counsels patients and families about healthcare and routine maintenance.
  • Handles consults, discharge planning, and scheduling procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements

2+ years in Critical Care, Labor & Delivery, ED, or OR preferred.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.

Master’s in Nursing Practice or Physician Assistant program required.

Certification/Licensure
  • APRN licensure or PA licensure in Florida/Georgia required at hire.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required at hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
  • Orthopedic new grads must obtain DEA within 90 days.

Travel up to 25% expected.
