Job description

JOB SUMMARY: Performs a broad range of duties including event and meeting arrangements, record-keeping, and report production for the Division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Document resolutions during the delegate session at PFB Annual Meeting
  2. Oversee and coordinate planning arrangements, as well as facilitate and secure contracts for federal affairs trips, the state legislative conference, the FARMER dinner, policy development meetings, legislative updates, and related committee meetings
  3. Negotiate contracts and lead planning and execution for the FARMER Dinner and State Legislative Conference, including managing mailings and legislative folders for legislators and members
  4. Complete and reconcile invoicing and payments for these events, reviewing all invoices and reimbursements
  5. Coordinate with the AFBF Awards program and submissions
  6. Apply knowledge of Agritourism Liability law related to wristbands and signage
  7. Support staff and assist with setup for Policy Development
  8. Manage credentialing process for the Annual Meeting Delegate Session
  9. Order office supplies and government/communications supplies as needed
  10. Maintain current data files of legislators, committees, etc.
  11. Complete and submit campaign reports for the state Bureau of Elections
  12. Maintain records and provide receipts to contributors for political action committees
  13. Assist with FARMER endorsements and legislative tracking
  14. Order and organize policy books for counties
  15. Organize schedules and calendars for Government Affairs
  16. Prepare and manage major mailing projects, including letters to legislators and committees, with proofreading and signatures
  17. Assist Event Planner & Sponsor Relations Specialist on designated projects
  18. Coordinate workload, production, and work hours with team members
  19. Support daily activities for Government Affairs, including phones and mail

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Required:

  • Degree in Administrative Professional or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to organize and complete multiple projects accurately
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills

Preferred:

  • Teamwork skills
  • Office management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid PA Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.

Note: Working outside traditional hours may be required for events/meetings. This position is based in Camp Hill, PA, with telecommuting options.
