Job summary

Greencastle-Antrim School District in Greencastle, PA seeks a School Nurse to provide nursing services within the school setting, supervise students' medication administration, and perform basic health assessments and first aid. Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Nurse
• Experience working with school-age children
• PA Certificate as a School Nurse or willingness to obtain certification
• CPR certification current
• Must have FBI/PA Child Abuse and PA Criminal History clearances
• Mandated Reporter training completed
• Physical/TB test completed within last 90 days

Responsibilities

• Supervise student s self-administration of medications according to district policy
• Provide basic assessment and healthcare
• Provide basic first aid
• Assist with mandated screenings and examinations as directed by the district's consulting physician/dentist
• Document health room visits
• Answer telephone as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of the health room setting
• Maintains health records
• Supervising LPN and LPN/RN substitute nurses as well as nursing students and high school interns
• Performs other duties as assigned
