Job summary

Oklahoma Baptist University invites an Adjunct Faculty member to facilitate weekly virtual small-group sessions in the Clinical Reasoning component of the Physician Assistant program. The role includes grading, hands-on clinical immersions on campus, and mentoring under the Course Director of Record.

Requirements include PA/MD/DO licensure eligibility, PA-C or medical board certification, and a master's degree in healthcare or education.

Qualifications

• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant/Assistant, MD, or DO (PA preferred).
• Current NCCPA certification for PAs (PA-C Emeritus acceptable) or current board certification for physicians.
• Master's degree in healthcare or education; doctoral degree preferred.
• 3+ years of clinical experience.
• Must be member of a local evangelical Christian church.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly synchronous small-group sessions focused on clinical reasoning, patient case discovery, hypothesis generation, diagnostic inquiry, evidence-based research analysis, and patient-centered management planning.
• Evaluate student documentation and performance in Canvas rubrics (SOAP notes, case presentations, simulations).
• Complete facilitator evaluations of student performance and professionalism with constructive feedback.
• Identify students needing remediation and coordinate with the Course Director for targeted guidance.
• Model professional, compassionate patient-centered care integrating a Christian worldview in discussions and ethical decisions.
• Attend course briefings and complete grading as assigned.
