Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS in Orlando is seeking an experienced P8A Avionics Technician (AT) SME/Test Engineer with USN Fleet background. The role blends development, integration, testing and delivery of NAWCTSD P-8A MTDS with a flexible work-from-home option and a hybrid schedule.

You'll collaborate with USN fleet SMEs, plan test strategies, author STRs, track issues in JIRA, and travel to Jacksonville as needed. This full-time position offers growth, security clearance, and a supportive engineering team.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship
• Secret Clearance
• Fleet experience with P8 maintenance
• Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years test engineering

Responsibilities

• Work with USN Fleet SMEs to determine optimum test scenarios.
• Plan and execute test plans with the NAWCTSD team.
• Trace and validate requirements to test procedures.
• Author and validate STRs documenting defects.
• Travel to support onsite test events in Jacksonville.
