Gleeds is seeking an experienced P6 Scheduler to join the data center project controls team in North Carolina. You will develop, maintain, and analyze complex project schedules using Primavera P6, building resource-loaded schedules and forecasting project outcomes.

The role requires strong P6 expertise, rigorous schedule control, and collaboration with design, procurement, and construction teams on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of scheduling/project controls experience within the construction industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience using Primavera P6.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining resource-loaded schedules in P6.
  • Strong understanding of resource loading, allocation, productivity, and forecasting.
  • Experience on large-scale construction projects with multiple stakeholders and complex interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of critical path, baselines, float, and schedule updates.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules including labor and equipment.
  • Review resource requirements, productivity, and allocation against plans.
  • Establish baselines, logic, calendars, activity codes, and WBS.
  • Integrate schedules across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Collaborate with teams to set realistic activity durations, logic, sequencing, and resource needs.
  • Collect and analyze progress information and update P6 accordingly.
  • Perform schedule analysis to identify critical path, float erosion, constraints, delays, and risks.
  • Prepare schedule forecasts and assess impacts on milestones and completion dates.
  • Conduct what-if analyses and recovery scheduling scenarios.
  • Support recovery schedules and mitigation plans.
  • Analyze planned vs actual progress and resource utilization.
  • Support earned value and performance measurement activities as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver schedule reports, dashboards, and progress updates for leadership and clients.
  • Ensure alignment between schedule, cost, and resource information with cost management.
  • Identify schedule risks and provide recommendations to project teams.
  • Review contractor/subcontractor schedules for logic and compliance.
  • Assess schedule impact of changes and variations in change management.
  • Participate in regular schedule reviews and progress meetings.
  • Ensure scheduling processes and reporting requirements are consistently applied.

About this opportunity
Location: North Carolina, 4 days onsite required

We are seeking an experienced P6 Scheduler to join our growing Data Center team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed project schedules for complex data center projects, working closely with project management, cost management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

This role requires strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6, including the development of resource-loaded schedules, schedule analysis, progress measurement, forecasting, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on large-scale, complex construction projects, preferably within the data center, mission-critical, industrial, or other highly technical environments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules, including labor, equipment, and other project resources.
  • Review resource requirements, productivity, and resource allocation against project plans.
  • Establish and maintain project baselines, schedule logic, calendars, activity codes, and work breakdown structures.
  • Integrate schedules across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout activities.
  • Work with project teams to establish realistic activity durations, logic, sequencing, and resource requirements.
  • Collect and analyze progress information from project stakeholders and incorporate updates into P6.
  • Perform schedule analysis to identify critical path activities, float erosion, constraints, delays, and potential schedule risks.
  • Prepare schedule forecasts and identify potential impacts to key milestones and project completion dates.
  • Conduct what-if analysis and schedule scenario planning to assess potential recovery strategies.
  • Support the development and monitoring of recovery schedules and mitigation plans.
  • Analyze planned versus actual progress and resource utilization.
  • Support earned value and performance measurement activities where required.
  • Prepare schedule reports, dashboards, progress updates, and other project controls deliverables for project leadership and clients.
  • Work closely with cost management teams to ensure alignment between schedule, cost, and resource information.
  • Identify schedule risks and provide recommendations to project management teams.
  • Review contractor and subcontractor schedules for logic, sequencing, progress, resource loading, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Support change management by assessing the schedule impact of changes, delays, and variations.
  • Participate in regular schedule review and progress meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Ensure scheduling processes, standards, and reporting requirements are consistently applied across projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience reviewing contractor/subcontractor schedules is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
