Job summary

The LINE is seeking a dynamic Restaurant Host to join our team in Austin. You will welcome guests, manage seating, and coordinate with dining room staff to ensure a smooth, friendly guest experience.

Ideal candidates have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit. A high school diploma or GED and prior guest service experience are preferred, with a focus on attentiveness and professionalism.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.

• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand and lobby areas.
• Assist in managing reservations and seating charts.
• Inform guests of specials and hotel amenities as needed.
• Handle guest requests and resolve concerns with courtesy.

We are seeking a dynamic Restaurant Host to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

1. Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times


2. Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel


3. Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the company’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness


4. Provide guests with menus


5. Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas


6. Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs


7. Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup


8. Speak with patrons to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and to respond to complaints


9. Receive and record patrons' dining reservations


10. Maintain contact with Kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and customers to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customers' concerns are addressed


11. Inform patrons of establishment specialties and features


12. Direct patrons to waiting areas such as lounges


13. Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages as needed


14. Prepare cash receipts after establishments close


15. Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room staff to ensure that patrons receive prompt and courteous service


16. Assist in planning functions or other special events and services


17. Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel


18. Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
