Job summary

MMR Group is seeking senior-level Construction Planner/Scheduler based in Abilene, Texas. You will develop master and detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, baseline projects, and perform schedule risk analyses while coordinating with procurement, construction, and client representatives.

Lead schedule review meetings, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and ensure progress, cash flow forecasts, and resource loading accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Willing to travel.
  • 3–5 years of industrial construction experience.
  • 3–5 years of Primavera P6 experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office with MS Project.

Responsibilities

  • Develop master and detailed CPM schedules with Primavera P6.
  • Baseline schedules and track schedule/cost metrics.
  • Create WBS, Activity Coding, and resource loading.
  • Analyze durations and critical paths to ensure schedule credibility.
  • Lead schedule reviews with project management and clients.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly progress and cash flow reports.
  • Coordinate with field personnel to incorporate plans into the master schedule.

Location: Abilene, Texas

Pay: $43-$50/hour (based on experience)

Per Diem: $900/week if all qualifications are met

Job Description

MMR is seeking senior-level, highly qualified Construction Planner/Scheduler candidates. Core responsibilities include:

  • Interact with key project team members and client organizations to develop project construction plans, master schedules, and detailed system turnover schedules.
  • Develop schedules using Primavera P6 in collaboration with procurement, construction, and client representatives. Baseline existing projects to schedule and cost parameters and metrics.
  • Create WBS, Activity Coding, User-Defined Fields, and utilize P6 technical features to develop detailed schedules using full CPM techniques and resource loading.
  • Analyze durations and logic of all project phases to ensure schedule credibility and clearly convey critical and near-critical paths.
  • Provide scenario “what if” planning and quantitative risk analysis of schedule.
  • Lead interactive planning sessions and host/attend schedule review meetings with project management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Set up, prepare, and maintain weekly/monthly project and program reports including quantitative progress, schedule performance, cost forecasting, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Direct and lead others, clearly convey information, and work in a collaborative environment.
  • Work with field personnel to develop plans and incorporate into master schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Willing to travel
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial construction experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience using Primavera P6 software
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office software including MS Project
