Job summary

Denver Country Club, established as a premier private club, is seeking a Seasonal Host to welcome and seat guests courteously, assist with table setups, and support dining room operations. You will coordinate with servers, manage specials visibility, and help maintain an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in fine dining, a positive attitude, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends

Responsibilities

• Greets and seats guests in a friendly, accommodating manner and adjusts setups as needed.
• Assists runners/servers with setting of all tables according to reservations.
• Takes copies of specials and ensures they are in menu for guests.
• Sets up bridge tables per reservations, considering special requests.
• Maintains bridge service—refills drinks, keeps ice water full, and clears soiled glasses.
• Answers phones for reservations and transfers calls as needed.
• Refills beverages and maintains ice levels throughout the shift.
• Supports runners and servers with breaking down or resetting as needed.

The 585 member, by invitation only private club, hosts an 18 hole golf course, two indoor golf simulators (Foresight Quads), indoor and outdoor tennis, platform tennis, pickleball, ice hockey, lawn bowling, croquet, casual and fine dining. The club has a long history of golf championships including the Denver Open (PGA Tour Event 1962-1964), Trans-Mississippi Amateur 2022, Pacific Coast Amateur and Curtis Cup (1984). A Golf Course renovation was completed in 2020 - Gil Hanse. The renovation has helped to secure Denver Country Club as one of the premier golf courses in the Western United States. The Golf Shop is consistently recognized as an AGM Platinum Award Winning Golf Shop (Top 100) and has been recognized as a multiple winner of the Colorado Section PGA Merchandiser of the Year - Private Category.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

To be a preeminent country club in the nation by providing a haven for members and their families to create long-lasting memories and friendships through unparalleled experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greets and seats in a friendly, pleasant, and accommodating manner - adjusting set-ups and numbers of seats, when needed
• Assists runners/servers with setting of all tables according to reservations
• Makes copies of specials and puts in menu
• Sets up all bridge tables according to reservations - with special requests in mind.
• Sets bridge cart with fresh ice water, tea, coffee - reg, decaf, cream, lemons, and maintains full levels throughout the shift - checking at random
• Answers the telephone and takes appropriate information for reservations - transfers phones as needed
• Refills all beverages throughout shift. Maintains ice levels - especially in the summer months. (ice water, coffee, teas)
• Responsible for bridge service - refills, replaces waters and removing soiled glasses when players go to lunch
• Assists all runners, servers with breaking down or resetting as needed
