About the Club
Established in 1887, Denver Country Club is recognized as the first club west of the Mississippi and one of the most prestigious private clubs in the country. The 585 member, by invitation only private club hosts an 18‑hole golf course, two indoor golf simulators (Foresight Quads), indoor and outdoor tennis, platform tennis, pickleball, ice hockey, lawn bowling, croquet, casual and fine dining. The club has a long history of golf championships including the Denver Open (PGA Tour Event 1962‑1964), Trans‑Mississippi Amateur (upcoming 2022), Pacific Coast Amateur and Curtis Cup (1984). A golf course renovation was completed in 2020 – Gil Hanse. The renovation has helped secure Denver Country Club as one of the premier golf courses in the Western United States. The Denver Country Club Concierge serves as the first point of contact for members and guests, delivering personalized, high‑touch service to ensure a welcoming and seamless club experience. This role involves coordinating member requests, providing information about club amenities and events, and supporting various departments to uphold the highest standards of hospitality.
Position Responsibilities & Duties
- Member/Guest Assistance:
- Greet members and guests upon arrival, addressing them by name, confirming reservations, and assisting if needed.
- Provide personalized service, remembering preferences and anticipating needs for members or guests.
- Reservations and Arrangements:
- Handle and make reservations for club services, events, and dining activities using the reservation system.
- Manage waitlist for club events.
- Perform confirmation calls/emails for club events.
- Personal Services:
- Help walk and direct members and guests to private events.
- Assist with carrying miscellaneous items to event spaces; escort members and guests to restrooms or event spaces.
- Assist with transportation of package deliveries and special requests.
- Coordinate and carry orders into membership vehicles.
- Information Provider:
- Distribute promotions on upcoming events to departments.
- Maintain knowledge of club’s offerings, schedules, and policies to provide accurate and timely information.
- Problem Solving:
- Address members’ and guests’ complaints and issues promptly, discreetly, and professionally, working to resolve them to satisfaction.
- Cleanliness of Main Lobby:
- Ensure the concierge desk, lobby, and entrance areas are clean, organized, and professionally presented, including light vacuuming, dusting, and sweeping.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Check emails and voicemails for the main email.
- Prepare cake orders and special‑order sheets for staff.
- Prepare outgoing mail using the postage machine.
- Organize bridge supplies.
- Organize and log all lost & found items.
- Issue guest cards when needed for club activities.
- Assist the GM with Christmas cards and directory.
- Answer and direct phone calls professionally.
- Support departments with administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Excellent communication: strong verbal and written skills to interact effectively with members, guests, and staff; excellent interpersonal skills to ensure visitors have a good first impression and feel welcome.
- Customer service orientation: a passion for providing high‑quality service and ensuring member and guest satisfaction.
- Multitasking abilities: ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively in a fast‑paced environment; good organization and communication skills.
- Knowledge of club areas: familiarity with all locations of the club.
- Technology skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with reservation systems.
- Physical requirements: the position requires sitting, hearing, reading, communicating verbally, keyboarding, operating a phone, computer, and postage machine; lifting 10‑15 pounds to locations in the clubhouse; assisting by walking, carrying, and loading orders into members’ vehicles; walking members and guests to desired locations; basic cleaning operations including reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling, including vacuuming, dusting, and sweeping.
- High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality or business education a plus).
- Prior experience in luxury hospitality, concierge services, or member services preferred.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a service‑oriented attitude.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
