Job summary

New Brunswick Public Schools is seeking a part-time Evening HSE Teacher with bilingual support to assist adult learners and out-of-school youth in achieving the New Jersey HSE credential.

You will provide instruction in mathematics, reading, and writing, and offer bilingual support in English and Spanish to ensure learner success. A valid New Jersey teaching certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction in mathematics, reading, and writing to adult learners and out-of-school youth.
• Prepare students to successfully complete the New Jersey State High School Equivalency (HSE) examination and earn a New Jersey State High School Diploma.
• Provide bilingual instructional support in English and Spanish as needed to support student learning and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Instruct adult learners and out-of-school youth in math, reading, and writing.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet needs.
• Collaborate with program staff to support HSE objectives.
