Job summary

MGP Ingredients is seeking a maintenance-oriented team member for our P&S plant in Atchison, Kansas. You will learn and operate equipment such as Mix, Merco, Modified Starch, Drum Drying and P&S Drying, performing routine and preventive maintenance while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Daily tasks include lubrication, reporting, and coordinating with the team to maintain production efficiency. Overtime and shift changes may apply; a strong safety mindset is essential.

• Must learn to operate and remain current in P&S plant operations (Mix, Merco, Modified Starch, Drum Drying, P&S Drying).
• Mechanical skills are required for daily duties and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant equipment and processes.
• Monitor and perform routine maintenance, preventive and predictive tasks.
• Complete reports and work orders; maintain necessary paperwork.
• Conduct daily and weekly lubrications and housekeeping per standards.
• Maintain licenses for trucks, bobcats, and forklifts; follow safety protocols.

MGP Ingredients is a leading supplier of premium distilled spirits and food ingredient solutions. What You Will Be Doing:

• Must learn to operate and remain current in the operations of the P&S plant, including, but not limited to, Mix, Merco, Modified Starch, Drum Drying and the P&S Drying operations.
• Mechanical skills required.
• Monitor and maintain equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Daily and weekly lubrications.
• Fill out reports and work orders.
• Maintain current license for trucks, bobcats, and forklifts.
• Climb and work in high places and/or from ladders, roofs, etc.
• Work in confined spaces. Work in dusty conditions: feed-grain dusts.
• Subjected to temperature extremes, both hot and cold, not only due to weather, but also due to plant processes.
• Housekeeping as required. Maintain sanitation level to meet AIB requirements.
• Operator is responsible for quality and quantity of product.
• Complete necessary paperwork related to quality assurance.
• Operator must operate in a safe, efficient and productive manner.
• Overtime as required. Shift and Days subject to change.
• Wear safety equipment as required including full face respirators, etc.
• Perform other duties assigned by management as required.
• Mathematical skills required.
