Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Schulenburg, TX is seeking a Warehouse Operator to support daily plant operations, loading and unloading pallets, and moving ingredients between warehouses and production areas.

You will operate a forklift safely, assist in maintaining inventory through SAP, and help with sanitation and training of new operators. Shifts run 2PM-10PM, Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• GED Certificate or High School Diploma Required
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must be able to attain a Forklift Operator License within 30 days of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Delivers pallets, totes, and supersacks from warehouse or freezers to Dry Ingredient, IQF rooms, and downstairs tomato dumping area.
• Assists IQF Vegetable Operator in dumping ingredients.
• Delivers caps to Filler rooms.
• Operates forklift in safe manner.
• Reports maintenance issues as they occur and submits work orders when necessary.
• Follows DFA GMPs and maintains product traceability via SAP transactions.
• Performs sanitation tasks from Master Sanitation lists when production is not running.
• Handles cleaning chemicals safely using gloves and eyewear.
• Maintains sanitary equipment conditions during production.
• Maintains safe environment and performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• SHIFT SCHEDULE - 2PM-10PM - Monday - Friday; Saturdays as required.

• Delivers caps to Filler rooms
• Reports maintenance issues as they occur and submits work orders when necessary.
• Follows all DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Utilize scanners or thin client units to make SAP transaction for the purpose of maintain accurate inventory levels and ensuring reliable product traceability.
• Perform items on the Master Sanitation lists when production is not running.
• Handles cleaning chemicals in a safe manner utilizing safety equipment such as gloves, eyewear, etc.
• Clear cardboard, trash, and excess pallets from Powder Handling and Individually Quick Frozen rooms.
• Maintain safe environment and perform other duties in a safe manner at all times.
• Assists in training new operator.
• Ability to function in a team based structure and positively contributes to team based efforts.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
