Job summary

Aertssen Logistics USA Inc. is hiring a Machine Inspector to join our on-site team in Rincon, GA. You will conduct thorough inspections of construction equipment, document findings, and ensure compliance with safety standards throughout pre-delivery and routine checks.

The role requires extensive knowledge of heavy machinery, attention to safety details, and the ability to work outdoors year-round. You will coordinate with operators and maintenance staff to address issues and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery.
• 2–5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, mechanical inspection, or related field.
• Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, torque wrenches).
• Strong attention to detail as it relates to safety and the safe operation of equipment.
• Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round and in non-climate-controlled warehouses.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication & written skills, and the ability to ask questions, report concerns, and coordinate clearly with teammates across the organization.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Commitment to following safety procedures, company policies, and operational guidelines without shortcuts.
• Ability to safely lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform regular physical tasks using proper techniques.

• Evaluate the condition of critical components, including engines, hydraulics, transmissions, electrical systems, undercarriages, and structural elements.
• Verify equipment functions according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Perform pre-delivery and scheduled periodic inspections.
• Ensure all inspections align with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and industry safety regulations.
• Identify hazards or non-compliant conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Support internal safety initiatives by reporting risks and educating operators on safe practices.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports that include findings, photos, measurements, and recommendations.
• Document mechanical deficiencies, wear indicators, hydraulic leaks, and electrical issues through the company’s internal inspection report.
• Perform functional tests on machinery, including engine performance, hydraulic response, brake function, and electronic functions.
• Operate equipment safely to verify performance and identify operational concerns.
• Conduct periodic exercises on machines stored for long periods to ensure proper operation.

Position Summary

Aertssen is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Machine Inspector to join our growing team.
