Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
- Conduct functional assessments and document progress of patients
- Assist with the selection and fitting of adaptive equipment and devices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Adhere to all professional, ethical, and legal standards in the field of occupational therapy
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
- Strong knowledge and understanding of occupational therapy principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
