Orion180 is seeking a Product Manager - Comparative Rater to guide decisions, vet new comparative raters, and drive API work. You’ll collaborate with portfolio managers to draft business requirements and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced insurance technology environment.

In this position, you will play a critical role in managing business decisions and rules regarding comparative raters. You will be responsible for vetting new comparative raters, application programming interface (api) work, and prioritization. You will work with our portfolio managers to draft business requirements. We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented insurance professional with the drive to improve this experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, but is equally capable of taking ownership and delivering independently.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in similar work.
Industry Experience: 3+ years of experience in property and casualty insurance.
Management Experience: 2+ years of experience managing teams and projects. Proven positive leadership experience with the ability to mentor and manage performance.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with product life cycles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with form automation tools a plus.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively—both written and verbally—across all levels of the organization.
Entrepreneurial Drive: Proven ability to achieve ambitious goals in an innovative and demanding environment.
Strategic Thinking: Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to develop strategies informed by research, data, and industry trends.
The office environment is fast-paced and collaborative. Employees must be willing and able to work their regularly assigned work schedule onsite, and in times of need, be able to work an extended schedule depending on company or departmental needs, project requirements, or customer demands.
While performing general duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, comprehending, and reading; being able to lift light objects (<25 lbs); and using standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist, or squat down to open/close cabinets and reach for files or other standard office-type objects.
