WTW is seeking an experienced individual with strong insurance analytics experience in the North American market to join as a Property & Casualty (P&C) Director in our Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) practice. You will have experience leading analytics/actuarial teams within insurance carriers and will be excited about helping insurers reach their full potential. In this role, you will collaborate with our team of pricing, claims, distribution, product management, underwriting, and claims experts to sell and deliver consulting and technology solutions to our P&C insurance clients.

The Role

ICT offers advisory services for insurance companies, integrated with advanced technology solutions and software, underpinned by analytical capabilities. In our Personal and Commercial Lines practice, we help insurers embed advanced analytics to transform performance for business and customers.

WTW aims to significantly grow our North America P&C offerings by advising insurance carriers on enhancing their analytical capabilities in pricing, underwriting, and beyond. Our expertise and market-leading analytical software, especially Radar, position us to deliver meaningful impact for our clients.

This position can be based in a major North American market and is open to remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Support and lead client engagement pursuits, showcasing WTW’s strengths, establishing needs, building relationships, and defining scope.
  • Demonstrate applications of WTW’s technology products to clients.
  • Lead and participate in project teams to deliver solutions.
  • Execute work such as best practice reviews, predictive modeling, decision-making enhancement, portfolio management, and underwriting implementation.
  • Leverage expertise in pricing, analytics, and market knowledge as a subject matter expert.
  • Contribute to WTW’s intellectual capital and market strategies.
  • Achieve billable hours and revenue targets as an effective consultant.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, managing projects and staff as needed.
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of P&C experience.
  • Broad understanding of insurance carrier operations and analytics support.
  • Good knowledge of core P&C insurance products.
  • Ability to adapt past experience to new projects and challenges.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and innovation.
  • Commitment to mentoring colleagues.
  • Experience managing projects and delegating tasks.
  • Effective communication skills across different levels and areas.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of Radar tool.
  • Experience leading actuarial or underwriting transformation projects.
  • Experience applying actuarial/analytical techniques beyond traditional areas.
  • Experience across various insurer functions.
  • CAS actuarial designation.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $215,000 - $295,000 USD annually, with eligibility for an annual bonus. WTW offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, welfare, retirement, and paid leave options, with eligibility depending on role and location.
