Olympic Steel, Inc. in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Machine Operator – Oxy Burning on the 2nd shift to set up, operate, and monitor oxy-fuel cutting equipment for carbon steel plates. You will read work orders, ensure precise cuts, and uphold safety and production standards while working 3:00pm–11:00pm, on-site.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Able to read and interpret work orders and basic drawings.
• Knowledge of oxy-fuel cutting principles and safe gas handling.
• Experience with overhead crane operation and material handling.
• Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ability to work 2nd shift, 3:00pm - 11:00pm M-F.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor oxy-fuel cutting equipment to cut carbon steel plate and other materials according to work orders and drawings.
• Ensure accurate cuts and proper identification of parts.
• Adhere to safety and production standards.
