Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate and you will lead site visits, review contractor submissions, and prepare risk and status reports while guiding teams across disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions.
  • Strong Excel/Office skills and numerical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor construction progress and verify alignment with drawings.
  • Review Developer submissions, including cost requisitions, budgets, and subcontracts.
  • Prepare project status and risk reports and advise on construction fund releases.
  • Evaluate budgets and coordinate with Cost Advisory for estimates.
  • Review contract terms and ensure qualifications of contractors and architects are up to date.
  • Oversee schedules, permits, and related regulatory milestones.
  • Share expert knowledge and mentor others, driving best practices.
  • Lead by example following CBRE RISE values and persuade at senior levels.
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly to multi-discipline teams.

About the Role:

As a Quality Assurance/Commissioning Owner's Representative, you will be responsible for managing large and high-profile construction projects for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery.They are responsible for ensuring all deliverables ofconstruction projects are completed on time.

Join our team onsite in Austin, TX! We are willing to provide relocation assistance for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do:
  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction. Review status of work completed duringthe period covered and confirm work is aligned with the approved drawings and specifications.
  • Review all documentation submitted by Developers. This includes contractors’ direct cost payment requisitions,budget status, subcontracts, etc.
  • Prepare Project Status and Construction Risk Assessment report. Recommend the release of constructionfunds. Review complex contract drawings, specifications, and opine for completeness and general compliancewith best practices.
  • Evaluate the Developer’s direct and indirect cost budget. Coordinate with the Cost Advisory group performingparameter estimates and spot quantity take-offs.
  • Make relevant comments on the terms of construction agreements. This includes subcontracts, architectural,engineering design, and building loan agreements. Ensure the Contractor and Architect’s qualificationstatements are up to date.
  • Oversee large construction and disbursement schedules. This includes zoning approvals, certified surveys,building permits etc.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual anddepartment objectives.
  • Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within theorganization function.
  • Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potentialobjections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point ofview.
  • Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams.Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.
  • Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functionalgoals.
  • Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.
What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
  • Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
