Job summary

The Project Quality Manager I role at Construction Material Testing supports the owner or EPC contractor on a capital project, focusing on the project quality program rather than running a contractor's QC crew. Your week alternates between field surveillance and document review, with emphasis on witnessing hold points, reviewing records, and closing audit findings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• A certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding gaps.
• Clear written reporting.
• Organized under document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications.
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance.
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database.
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results.
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager.
