Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager I on the owner's side of a capital project in Texas. You will support the project quality program by surveilling contractor and supplier quality activities, reviewing quality documentation, and tracking audit findings to closure.

This role suits an inspector or QC engineer who wants to see quality from the requirements writer's perspective; travel to active sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• Certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Ability to read specifications, procedures, and inspection records and identify gaps.
• Clear written reporting and organization in document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications.
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance.
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database.
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results.
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager.
