Job summary

Randolph Elite Fleet, LLC is seeking an Owner Operator to operate under the company’s authority, manage equipment and business decisions, and haul freight across regional and national lanes. You will choose between dispatch options, coordinate with customers and dispatch, and maintain accurate logs using Motive ELD.

Based in the Atlanta metro area, this contract role requires on-site work, regular vehicle inspections, and proactive communication with the operations team to optimize profitability

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A) with a safe driving record.
• Ownership or long-term lease of a reliable truck meeting DOT requirements.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hours-of-service, and ELD systems.
• Ability to plan trips, optimize routes, and meet pickup/delivery windows.
• Strong communication skills with dispatch, shippers, and receivers; documentation handling.
• Understanding of revenue, expenses, fuel management, and basic recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

Role Description

Owner Operators with Randolph Elite Fleet, LLC operate under the company’s authority while managing their own equipment and business decisions. Day-to-day work includes safely operating a commercial truck, hauling freight across regional and national lanes, managing schedules to meet delivery appointments, and maintaining accurate logs using Motive ELD and required documentation. Drivers may choose fully managed dispatch or self-dispatch, selecting loads from the load board, coordinating with customers and dispatch, and optimizing routes for profitability and compliance. This is a contract role based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, with work performed on-site and over the road, including regular vehicle inspections, basic equipment troubleshooting, and proactive communication with the operations team.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A) with a safe driving record and verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Ownership or long-term lease of a reliable, well-maintained truck that meets DOT and company requirements.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hours-of-service rules, and use of ELD systems such as Motive.
• Ability to manage trip planning, route optimization, and time management to meet pickup and delivery windows.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, shippers, and receivers, and handling documentation.
• Business-minded approach, including understanding of revenue, expenses, fuel management, and basic recordkeeping.
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and courteous conduct with customers and fellow road users.
• Ability to work on-site in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area and run regional or nationwide routes as needed.
• Current medical certification, eligibility to work in the U.S., and ability to pass required background and drug screenings.
