Job summary

JRP (James River Petroleum) seeks professional Owner-Operators to transport petroleum products across the Eastern United States. You will operate as an independent contractor, delivering fuel with compliance to DOT, FMCSA, and HazMat regulations. Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required.
• Minimum of 3 years commercial driving experience.
• Experience in petroleum transportation preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service rules.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver petroleum products to customer locations per regulations and standards.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and maintain required documentation.
• Load and unload petroleum products at terminals and customer sites.
• Verify shipping documents, bills of lading, and delivery information for accuracy.
• Maintain logs, mileage records, and regulatory reports.
• Communicate with dispatch about delivery status and issues.
• Operate hoses, pumps, and related equipment safely.
• Report accidents or safety hazards promptly.
• Represent your business professionally while serving JRP customers.
