Job summary

Grocery Outlet is seeking a motivated Independent Operator to run your own store with full responsibility for operations, profitability, and community engagement. You’ll lead a team, manage inventory, and execute local buying strategies to meet community needs.

You’ll partner with corporate support, mentorship, and training while enjoying autonomy in scheduling and strong earning potential based on store performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ retail store management or multi-unit restaurant management experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for retail and customer service.
• Strong leadership and the ability to build and develop a team.
• Business acumen including financial and operational management experience.
• Willingness to relocate and commit to full training and onboarding.
• Drive for success and the ability to work independently while leveraging the Grocery Outlet network.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, compliance, and financial oversight to drive profitability.
• Recruit, hire, and train a high-performing team to deliver excellent customer service and operational excellence.
• Manage buying and merchandising to meet local community needs and preferences.
• Engage with local communities and causes in line with the company mission.
• Monitor financial performance, including sales, margins, and expenses.
