Job summary

S&ME Inc. is seeking a Specialty Driller Trainee in the Raleigh area with a path to lead specialty drilling projects. You will work alongside an experienced Senior Driller to learn overwater and specialty drilling techniques while supporting equipment mobilization and project logistics.

The role emphasizes hands-on field work, safety, and growth into a lead driller position across multiple project locations within our footprint.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active CDL is a plus.
• Valid Driller license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support drilling operations: assist with operation, mobilization and maintenance of drilling equipment and tools.
• Execute field activities: support daily drilling operations with safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment and logistics: organize materials, equipment, and project logistics.
• Learn technical skills: develop knowledge of drilling methods, equipment selection, troubleshooting and safety.
• Develop into a future Specialty Driller: work with a Senior Driller to gain lead-project experience.
