Job summary

The Flagger at Wright Tree Service provides traffic control support along roadways to ensure safety for crew and the public. This role uses signage and signals to move traffic safely through the work area.

Essential duties include loading traffic-control gear, setting up signs and barriers, coordinating with owners and emergency personnel, and maintaining tools and work areas. Occasional travel may be required for emergencies or disasters.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain valid traffic control certificate or applicable certification in accordance with state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads vehicles with flagging equipment and road signs for traffic control.
• Sets up warning signs, barriers, flags, signals, and directs traffic to protect employees and the public.
• Cooperates with property owners, customers, and emergency personnel when blocking streets or driveways.
• Monitors and communicates traffic conditions and potential hazards with crew members.
• Stages and cleans up tools and equipment at the job site; maintains a neat and orderly area.
• May be on duty and travel outside regular location during emergencies or natural disasters.
