BAE Systems, Inc. in McLean, VA seeks a Staff Operations Officer (SOO) with active polygraph security clearance to support overseas missions.

The role emphasizes operational research, analysis, and briefings to senior management within a challenging, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in SOO, strong communication and independent planning skills, and familiarity with the Intelligence Community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of SOO related experience.
• Ability to plan and organize tasks independently and exercise sound operational judgment.
• Strong written and oral communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting HUMINT operations or familiarity with the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full range of operational and support activities for overseas missions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for an overseas office and ongoing cases.
• Provide operational guidance for ongoing cases, ensuring any CI issues are identified to protect client personnel and facilities.
• Design classified activities, propose recommendations, and identify pros/cons of operational scenarios.
• Coordinate legal and policy issues affecting cases and overseas offices.
• Provide in-depth research on existing cases and intelligence assessments using all-source and classified information.
• Provide briefings on cases to senior customer officials, identifying potential issues on cases.
• Provide a limited amount of administrative assistance in support of field elements and personnel.
