You will conduct interviews, review records, assess suicide risk, coordinate with families and agencies, and participate in court hearings when needed. Overnight shift 2pm–10pm; valid Florida driver's license required; experience with youth required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two (2) years of experience working with youth.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license and Auto Insurance.
• Overnight shift 2pm–10pm.

Aufgaben

• Reviews law enforcement paperwork and criminal history records.
• Acts as a resource to families, outside agencies and staff; answers telephones.
• Maintains accurate records, including youth files, screening packets, and JJIS documentation.
• Communicates with youth’s parents/guardians, DJJ and/or DCF staff, and law enforcement to ensure efficient processing.
• Attends court hearings as needed to present detention risk assessment findings.
• Provides crisis intervention to de-escalate immediate conflict situations.
• Provides sight and sound supervision of youth at risk for self-harm.
• Completes installations of EM equipment on youth based on assessment or court order.
• Assesses suicide risk and completes mental health and substance abuse screenings.
• Uses Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Informed Care techniques during interviews and assessments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Conducts interviews to determine eligibility for release, respite care, supervised release, or detention.
• Ensures medical and mental health clearance prior to admission to JAC or screening area.
