Job summary

The Transition House Inc. in Kissimmee, FL, seeks an Overnight Resident Monitor to maintain safety and security in a structured work release environment. The role supports residents’ daily routines, documentation, and intake procedures while enforcing policies and responding to incidents.

Shifts are 12 hours from 7 pm to 7 am, with nights, weekends, and holidays required. The department is Operations, reporting to the Facility Director, in a non-exempt role with full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Sound judgment and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, security, and supervision of residents in a structured work release environment.
• Conduct routine counts, inspections, and searches to control contraband and ensure compliance.
• Monitor daily resident activities including meals, work assignments, visitation, and recreation.
• Complete accurate documentation, reports, logs, and entries in the inmate management system.
• Perform intake procedures for new residents, including documentation and file setup.
• Respond appropriately to incidents while maintaining professionalism and emotional control.
• Identify and report safety, medical, or behavioral concerns.
• Enforce policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
• Participate in required trainings and staff meetings.
• Support a respectful, structured, and accountable environment for residents and staff
